If you get the right ebay knock off one it's exactly the same.

Re: looking for a greddy type s

The real and the knock off is exactly the same and works the same. If sound is what you want just tighten down the top screw and the piston will not open as big and it will give you that sound that you so desire.

Re: looking for a greddy type s

If there's no load then very little boost or none will build up. Way back then when my gsx still had a T-25 I could build up 10psi with that dinky little turbo in neutral revving to 6k.

If it's a larger turbo then that's normal but if the T-25 is still in there you might have a boost leak some where. The T-25 is small enough that revving in neutral the exhaust gas is able to spin the turbine to create 10psi.

Not true. The diaphragm in the knockoff is a lot different. I have both.

Can you take a picture since I don't notice any functioning differences between the real and correct knockoff.

Re: looking for a greddy type s

A picture of the diaphrams will show you nothing. The ebay ones are same design and do sound the same however the diaphrams are not protected with ? i forget the name but it is stop oils from eating away the rubber giving them a max of 6 months life. You can buy a 20 dollar ebay one and a 8p replacement diaphram though and you will have better than a used greddy type s for only 100.
