Well, at least that's funny in hindsight.

But regardless, I'm done feeding the flames.

Re: Cold weather issues?

2 things for me today. I drove my car to my parent's house this morning and all was well. My car sat there all day, then at 9 when I tried to leave, my lock was frozen, and my door was frozen shut for no appearant reason. Then on the way home, one of my headlights burned out. Hooray!

Re: Cold weather issues?

Repaired my buddies car that we crashed on saturday. $75 to get a corner lense, headlight assembly, and hood. Not bad, good ol u-pull hooked us up. Also learned that my fist can easily go through a saturn window...lol (dont flip it was getting crushed).

Sounds like some "pranksters" poured some water on you're door so that it'd freeze up! haha
Not too many problems here, other than I tried to wash my car today. I thought it'd be warm enough in my garage but once I coated the whole thing with soapy water it froze over. So I was out in the garage for a good 2 hours with a hair dryer!

Re: Cold weather issues?

If you dress all of your door and hatch seals with a decent silicone they generally won't freeze up during winter car washes.

I'm suprised you Evo guys aren't putting a little JB Weld on the plugs for good measure.

Re: Cold weather issues?

$.70 frost / freeze plug for the water pump (35mm, cupped) left my car undriveable. A local parts store had one, popped right in and then a little jbweld for good measure. Uber dumb.

Re: Cold weather issues?

fantastic! Water pump freeze plug blew out again today!

I took the liberty of smashing a new one in there with my BFH, quite a bit further (although a bit askew) than the last one. It's drying out now, then it's getting a fukin smoov and thick pile of JBWeld. If it pops out again, I will pop.
