Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
Well, I was going to get some tuning done tomorrow, but there is still way too much to do before then, so I cancelled. But at least I got the catch can shit done.
Thanks Scheides for telling me where to get this thing.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
lol. Someday. Not tomorrow, that's for sure. The radiator leaks, the lash needs to be adjusted, the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted, I need a few random hose clamps, I need to put on the flywheel rock guard plate, I need to reinstall one front coilover and fix another, need to put the trunk interior back together, etc. There's a lot of stuff. But, I have to say, setting up the appointment made me bust my butt. It's a lot closer than it might have been.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
So set another appointment and bust out the rest of the essential stuff, then take care of the non essentials after that.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
That's for a little suction. It's pretty much the only outlet for crankcase pressure. In the future I'll give it a buddy and maybe do a pan-e-vac in the exhaust. That's if I determine that there's little to no oil coming out the top side port.
Aaron, I'm not sure when I'll get a full tune, but it won't be long. A few more weeks I'd say. 1-3 maybe.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
I pulled into that parking lot and this lady with like 3 or 4 rug rats playing on the playground was staring at me like I was satan or something. Probably thinking, "damn loud ass car, get out of here before it explodes and kills everybody!"

Re: Dyno Day Graphs, Pics and Vids! Post them here!
This is me on the 20th. Big thanks to Shane at DB for tuning it. I will be headed back once I get an idle control motor hooked up somehow.

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
Moved these from the old dyno day thread you posted in....that thread was for the dyno day from who knows when! LOL!
So, how much boost is this? Pump gas still? Looks like good power to me!

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
It peaked at 17.5psi right at redline, but it was pretty steady from when it spooled to redline. There was pretty much no knock on the dyno, and the only problems were that the injector clips (plugs) were popping off.
It's funny now, but on the dyno, when that happened it sounded like a really bad misfire, then when it came to idle it sounded exactly like a WRX. I heard that sound before when I blew my engine, and the plugs that most easily came off on the dyno were the same cylinders I had major damage to. So I think I found the main culprit of engine destruction.
I wonder if it'd do 20psi on 92 octane. I guess I don't see why not since it didn't show signs of problems other than the clips. But as you can see in the graph, the head really doesn't like to flow much past 5500rpm or so. Maybe I'll pull a Ben Stiller from Happy Gilmore and tell it, "you will flow more, or I will make you flow more."

Re: Turning my quest into a dsm.
20psi should be no problem. 3psi on that turbo might yield you another 40whp, so it'd probably be worth it
