Cool Spring Detail Day - 4/26/15

Spring is around the corner, so it is time to get the cars ready!
We are hosting a Detail Demonstration Day in Forest Lake on Sunday, April 26th to showcase the products offered by Northstar Detail Supply. The plan is to start around 9am and go until Noon-ish. We will demonstrate the use of the clay bar, paint defect removal and polishing, applying sealants and waxes, while using the products we sell from great manufacturers like Zaino, Optimum Polymer Technologies, Lake Country, Griots Garage, Meguiars, Grit Guard, and more. There will be a lot of products available to try - just ask! Think of it as a try before you buy event. This is a no obligation demonstration. Just show up, ask questions, play with all the stuff, and have fun.

Along with all the great products mentioned above, we'll also have a lot of high quality microfiber towels (polish removal, drying, general purpose, etc.), microfiber aprons, microfiber gloves, microfiber applicators and microfiber wash mitts available for sale.

The usual format is to have a demonstration car and try the products out on the hood or deck lid. Participation is strongly encouraged as this is a "hands on" demonstration. If you've always been interested in a safe buffer for your car, here is a chance to try it out before buying it. We will also have the foam cannon for demonstration and some other tools.

There are a few spots left, as we try to limit the size so everyone can use the products and ask questions. Please send a PM if you are interested and we'll add you to the list and send the directions.

Thanks,
Randy

* We are currently looking for a dark colored car to use for the demonstration. If you want a car wash and don't mind a detailed, shiny hood or decklid, please let me know!

This event is one of our open seminars so there are Vette guys, Mustang Guys, Imports, etc that are invited. (We also do some 'club only' events for car clubs)

Please send a PM if you can make it and we'll add you to the list. We try to keep it around 10-12 people so it is a manageable group and everyone gets to participate, ask questions, etc.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy puts on a good seminar. If you are looking to get serious about car detailing, it is worth your time.

later,
Curt

Thumbs up Re: Spring Detail Day - 4/26/15

I was able to take a few pictures yesterday as it was a little bit different pace than the usual hustle of our detail seminars.

Just a pic of the Cougar test hood after defect removal and sealing. This one was fun because the car is getting donated for a tax deduction so we actually did the "snow brush scratch installation" to add more defects prior to buffing. It was in tough shape with tons of chips, dents, and even some Dukes of Hazzard type deep scratches across the whole hood.

The Cougar is getting donated this week (ventilated block) and I hope they appreciate the swirl free hood that is sealed with Zaino.

Some more random pictures of the cars we worked on.

This one got a quick bath and moved out of the way for the next car.

Foam Cannon wash as this one was pretty dirty.

Thanks again to the guys who attended.
