I started on a '98 Ninja ZX-6R (are these carb.?) and I think it was a very nice beginner bike. Not too fast, not too slow. And people in cars don't see you all the time, so you're always watching out for them. My sister is trying to make me quit riding now
. The 2000+ CBR 600's are pretty nice bikes also.
