I use the vibrant vanjen clamps that Mark is using on all but one of my intercooler piping connections. I have never blown any of these apart, but have ripped a few o rings. It seems that they get swollen over time from lubricating them. Boost braces still require you tighten the clamps on the coupler. If you do a good job lining the ferrules up before welding them onto the pipe ends, it makes a 10 second job of installing a pipe connection that is good to 75 + psi. My friend also has had good luck with the pegasus clamps that are sold on ebay which are a cheaper but still effective alternative to the wiggins/vanjen assemblies. Misalign them while you are welding them on though, and you will pay!!!!
