I dont think it weighs too much. Its pretty much just rubber in a can. It can get to be a messy job with all the dripping. If you dont go crazy and add like 3 inches of undercoat, then you shouldn't have to worry about how much it weighs. On the other hand more weight might = better traction during winter...
