Ok i explained that a little wrong it depends on what line your gauge is hooked up to
if its on the fpr line or the solenoid on the fire wall which is 12v an takes power to turn it on so if you didnt have the key on that could be why or the engine might have to be started which you cant do with a boost leak tester on the car. And i belive that the vacuum ports on the TB are after the TB plate which means they wouldnt see full boost or vacuum unless the TB is open. An I dont have all the vacuum lines on my car i pulled them all except the ones i needed an i got rid of all the solenoids if ya didnt know you can do that it gets rid of the extra cludder an just something extra to go wrong.
