My 2 cents. Do what that little voice in you head says and run for the hills. I believe that with most relationships people act with feelings not facts, but deep in the back of your brain the real problems are being hashed out with the reality of how you really feel fact to fact, the way you see things. I say follow your internal decisions. And good luck.
