how about people stop driving to work. Ride your bike. It would be better for you physically, you'll live longer, enjoy the weather this summer, and you can still race and have fun on the weekends.

Or you could buy one of these. Everyone of you should have these by now, considering the technology has been around for centuries. It makes me wonder...

It will never happen.
"...DaimlerChrysler said it had no plans to mass produce the vehicle, but that some of the technology would show up in future vehicles."

ick, see even with the prices the way there are right now I would rather cut expenses elsewhere (eating out, ect ect) and spend the money on premium gas to drive a sportier car that got 20mpg. If I am going to be stuck in the car for hours during each day I want to enjoy it.

Nothing about that car above says "fun sunday drive".

You ride a bike on my 30 mile one way stretch first and see how that goes.

And I can't move across the street from work and the cheapest house in this area is a half million.

30 mile ride aint that much of a ride if you can plan your route out well and you're in any kind of reasonable shape with a decent bike. I ride about ~150 miles a week, so youre talking to the wrong person. Average joe might not like that though. I'm not saying people should move... but most people i know work within 15 miles of their job.

There's also busses, carpooling, hybrid vehicles... theres tons of ways to curb this problem and not curb peoples free will to have fun. However I dont think anyone considers their commute in rush hour fun.

ALthough I don't like nascar either.

I just started doing this and I think it's great. I realize it doesn't work for everyone, but if you live close to work, and have a bike, why not give it a try.
