What has been suggested to me was to finger tighten the knock sensor, then using a crescent wrench, tighten it I believe a 1/4 or 1/2 turn to have it roughly torqued at the 10 or 12 ft-lbs it needs. Thats what I have done with mine, and it works fine Could you have serverly noisy lifters?

It's not possible to use a torque wrench without a proper socket to tighten it since the wire comes out the top of it. And the 1/4 to 1/2 turn is also what I have heard which is what I have tried. I suppose I could have very noisy lifters but why would that cause the CEL.
