The 9.99 is for standard passenger car tires less than 17 inches or greater than 50 aspect ratio sidewall. It also doesnt include truck tires. For "low profile", greater than 16 inch, or truck tires it is 13.99 per tire to mount and balance if purchased from them.

But yes it does include free rotation and balance for the life of the tire.
Yeh they will charge you 9.99 for regular size tires. If you go low profile it cost more. They will also charge you more if you did not buy tires from them. Than there is the disposal fee, which will cost more if you did not buy tires from them. Also the valve stems they are charging is going to rape you. So, I say you are going to spend some money baby. Oh by the way Sears also scratch rims too. I have two sets that was scratched. I made them replace two of the rims but it was a bitch. Good luck trying to go cheap. You should of just bought the tires from Discount tires intown.

Nice generalization. Sears is actually equipped with tire machines that have no metal to metal contact. Yeah, accidents happen and yeah it is a bitch to get your money but you got it right?

There is a standard in the tire industry for certain services. You are going to pay pretty much the same price no matter what tire chain you go to. 2.99 per valve stem is the going rate, $2 disposal is prefectly normal too.

I am not here to argue about which shop is better, I just know from experience at my Sears location that we have some top notch techs that know exactly what they are doing.

Not to be an ass but I use to work for them, so generalization is out of the question. This must be something new that they have a no metal to metal contact tire changer. Everyone of the one I see have metal to metal contact. Anyways I was just giving info that I have full knowledge of.
