No, if it's not leaking externally, it's fine. You should always teflon tape threads, but that's a different thread. You're obviously losing pressure real fast which shouldn't happen. I'd look for a leaking injector or a bad check valve on your fuel pump. Except for an external leak, nothing else should cause immediate fuel pressure loss.
