Need Help With An Open Wire

Alright as many of you know I rewired my whole engine bay, I cut/soldered a ton of wires. I have had no problem EXCEPT my left from blinker doesnt work. I checked the bulb and when that didnt work I put my voltmeter up to it and nothing. So somewhere between the switch and the socket there is an open. That wire goes under the dash out the drive side fender and I believe halfway under the radiator before turning around and going to drive side headlight. So in order to find the open I will have to take the driver fender off and/or the radiator.

Here is the question, Is there a tool that I can find this with easier then using a voltmeter at random locations to find it? and If so does anyone have access to it that is willing to help me out. This wont be for another month or so but I want to plan something out.

Thanks guys!

That one is expensive... Go to Menards or Home depot and get one of these. They work wonders and make finding wires very simple.

I have one and it works great. The case opens up with 5 attachments. Also works for phone line outlets and Coaxial cable.

Re: Need Help With An Open Wire

It works with anything electrical. There are 2 clips inside the box for bare wires, a needle point for sticking into a wire or harness and the telephone and coaxial cable adapters.
