Re: John Shep?

Yeah you could see in some of the last in-car videos of his that the car was a handful even at the top end. The video of him against the black mustang, the Talon's rear skated around up at the top end of the track. It would be going against every nerve in my body to let off the power with the back-end of the car dancing around, but he doesn't flinch.

When cars get into that rarefied ground that the Shep Talon pushes into, they hit a real wall. Up to that point it's just make it faster and faster. This "wall" is a chassis or "platform wall". I know that Reece McGregor said that wall was hit with his Skyline at 7.59@190. Could that car make more power? Oh yeah, could it put it down safely? Not every time, probably not even most of the time. He said that he wouldn't want to run it again at that power level with out an increase in wheelbase. I'm not saying that Shep is stuck where he is, I'm saying that things have to change to overcome that wall. Even the might HKS has put their Drag GT-R to rest saying that it wasn't safe at it's record power level.

I'm sure Shep will be back and faster than ever, at least I really really hope he comes back, and soon.
