I didn't ask them to, doesn't mean they didn't, but they did say that the pressure plate was quite warped.
Also, last I checked, pedal pressure is variable with CW, it doesn't just sit at one point. And it definitely doesn't cause the pedal to stiffen up again when you slip the clutch a bunch. Believe me, it was one of my first thoughts, and nothing points to it.
