The current car you have has the potential and is definitely a sleeper. I haven't researched much on auto dsm's, but I'm sure they can be just as fast. What are your plans for a modded dsm? straight line? auto-x? 'highway' roller? What you are searching for is already out there so my only advice is:
search, search and search more.
