I highly doubt 65% of households oppose this, speaking to many people in my community, they are all waiting for the government to stop the stranglehold our healthcare system has over us, which is what this bill really accomplishes.
We copied "cash for clunkers" from Germany(and other European countries) and we are attempting to copy the healthcare model they use for their healthcare. Both examples are of things that -WORK-
We are not all entitled to free healthcare, but we all pay taxes, even if we don't want to, therefore the government is expected to help all tax payers out by protecting us from monopolies of mega-corporations.

Well, when bush pulled federal funding for sexual awareness in our public school systems, the rate of teen pregnancy shot up dramatically.
I really think its wrong of you to comment on abortion without acknowledging the fact that we set our children up for failure by not talking about sex, thus resulting in massive unwanted teen pregnancy.
Abortion is bad, we should spend all our time and effort on preventing it ever coming to this. Think about how many failures it takes to push a teen to get an abortion. Parents fail to put the girl on birth control, parents and our education system fail to explain sex=babies, we fail to openly make sure everyone has a condom, we disown our daughters if they get knocked up....We, push teen mothers to abortion and then hate them when they feel they have no other choice.
I for one fully support this bill, the republicans passed their crazy homeland security/patriot act bills, which are far worse then anything the democrats will pass.
1 Trillion in additional health spending is a fraction of what we spend on our pointless war in iraq, also it saves lives.
If this bill is really as bad as all the nay-sayers say it is, I am sure it will be revised/repealed in a timely manner.
