Even a jail broken iPhone can't be on par with a rooted Droid as far as speed goes. Since the Android is a Linux based OS you can flash a new kernel. That's what I did and I'm running at 1.2GHz.
As am I, flash is just around the corner too! Plus I just received my game gripper in the mail today for my Moto Droid!
