An ad from craigslist is not a delivery sheet, seller's "knowingly or not" will put stuff in ads that is and is not true, it all part of the advertising game. What I cannot believe is the sellar would even agree to to take a partial payment on a car then let the buyer take it. Huge risk on the sellers part, crazy stupid.. IMHO. Take the refund and move on, you learned an important lesson in private party sales.

I did specifically ask if the car had dsmlink at the time of purchase. He said yes, then I even asked him which version of DSMLink it was 2 or 3 and he told me it was version 2. Yea I thought it was pretty crazy to do what he did as well and let me have the car without giving him all the money. I don't have the title though and I'm not that shady of a person to ever rip anybody off.

Have you had that car in the air? Is it straight?

Yea it's in pretty good condition and seems to be a pretty solid car. Besides some random bolts (like all the flex plate and tranny to block) bolts being loose it seems to be ok. I'm just pissed this guy straight up lied to my face and then claims I don't know what I'm looking at and that I am lying to him.
