SERIOUS PROBLEM (Jake Vogel/TKR Mark)

Mark good or bad buy? well see...

Jon from TRE called me today,
He explained that the way mark assembled the transmission never would have ran.

The 4-spider wouldn't match up to the 3rd and 4th gear, and the 5th and R wouldn't have shifted.

He also said that mark underestimated how clean a transmission build needs to be and with as much debris/gunk that he left in there would have caused it to fail.

I need a new 4-spider (the early trans 4spider i have will be for sale cheap once it comes back from TRE) and a new intermediate shaft.

He said that i should replace the 1st and 2nd that i got from mark because they are the crappiest 1st and 2nd available and the 2nd is single synchro. Mark told me that it was a double synchro TRE 2nd gear from a TRE transmission... The 1st and 2nd mark put in were not from a TRE transmission, Jon said they had the fiber synchros on them.

I gave mark $350 for all the parts i would need from that "TRE" donor transmission and $200 to put it together. I know he wasted his own time and gas putting it together and driving it half way to me so i'm not looking for a refund.

Just looking for him to do something to make it right.
