Hope not as that could cause death to the oiling system. Did you ever see those with your time at Mitsu? Of all the 4g's I've ripped apart, never seen a spun balance bearing, I've seen cooked ones though!

I have seen a 1g with a spun bearing. It was on the oil pump drive side. It made alot of noise and after a clean up and a balance shaft delete it was fine. I just used the short shaft for the pump drive.
