ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND... I may be working on Saturday.
Manager decided he didn't need to look at the calendar before making the schedule, I didn't get back from Cali to see it until Wednesday, and the only guy who's capable of covering can't find a babysitter for the child he spawned with a woman who divorced him. Okay, it's not really a "can't", it's more of an unwillingness thing, because his mom could likely do it but he doesn't like her or some shit... All the more reason to stick her with the kid I say. I've taken god knows how many shifts for this worthless fuck and he can't even bother to arrange to take one for me. I laid down the law and told him I'll not be covering anything for him ever again if he doesn't do it, but right now he's on page zero, even with a coworker offering to have her family do it. It's bullshit. I asked for the day off fucking months ago and I'm still the only name on the calendar to have it off.
I'm half tempted to just call in "sick" and deal with the inevitable write-up but at the same time I don't want to deal with the resulting drama. I will however be requesting to transfer to a lower volume store that wants me that'll likely appreciate what I bring to the table instead of just using me and my ability to do the job perfectly as an excuse to make me close every night of every day forever despite my multiple requests to have fair closing shifts among supervisors so as to not take away the time I have to be social or work on my car or even keep my car halfway clean... But we'll see what happens.
Regardless, I may be out.
