Actually, you HAVE to do it slow. If you go too fast, you'll rupture a seal.

What city are you in, Joel?

I've used a car and jack before... Not the best way but it gets the job done.

Did you do the drill bit check to see if the tension is right?

Re: joel's build

Everything is all assembled and ready to go back into the engine bay. Going to try and get most of it done tomorrow. And have it running and driving sometime this weekend.

Re: joel's build

Big update tonight.
Installed the clutch and trans, and dropped it in the bay
Got all the wiring and vacuum lines hooked up. Starter and axles installed. It is getting close to being ready to start.

To do list.
Transfer case
Down pipe
Oil feed and return lines
Radiator
Intercooler
And fill all the fluids.
Thanks Nick for all the help.

Re: joel's build

Well it is finished. Everything went to plan. started right up, and no leaks. this was the first start up started running rough at the beginning, and cleared up after a few seconds.

The excitement I get after tearing it all the way down to the short block and putting it back together and it working perfect is amazing.

Big thanks for the help Cornfed2.4
