Strength comes from within.
True for sure, your friends, parents etc can't do it for you, it is all about what you believe about yourself and the things you believe in. Has a lot to do with attitude taking you a long way. Another reason this stands out in my mind is that if you can stand strong alone without needing a significant partner or the constant compliments of others, there isn't much that can stand in front of you.
The other thing that comes to mind is "There is no such thing as losing, only win or learn" Learning can suck in that case.
