It will probably evolve into something even more gay. Say something starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Allan Dahlen all sitting in a circle around a all motor 1.8 wearing crotchless racing suits spanking it fast and well furiously at all the potential they think is in that ultra high tech SOHC 1.8 which will of course dessemate all as soon as they take their hands off each other long enough to actually turn a wrench.
