I agree, having a front mount doesn't assume that you are ridiculous fast. The only way to run a FMIC is to just run it open nothing blocking it. That mesh shit looks gay. Painting it? Even gayer yet.

And I'm sure your fmic looks like hell after driving your car around for a while with rocks and all sort of road debris bouncing off it. I just assume use mesh or screen to stop some of it and maybe protect the investment. Maybe I'm way off base here who knows....

Nope, my FMIC is completely uncovered. There is a few bent fins but you have to be up against it to see them. Have had it for 3 years now. The key is to not drive butt ass close to the person in front of you. That saves windshields too.

I just think painting it is a no-no. If you paint it, in the summer the sun is going to beat on it and turn it into one big solar panel and defeat the whole purpose of a front mount.
