Good thing too, becuase you are probably the only one that thinks a long warranty is a sign of a reliable car.

You are right on one thing, companies do a lot of calculations on how to maximize their profit. BUT unlike you they look at everything, including the cost of fixing a crummy product for 10 years vs going under in 5 because they have no customer base and a horrible reputation.
