Re: Anybody on this site have a motorcycle?

I dont think your friend with the busa can ride. that or his bike needs maintance. Never seen a stock rear tire back loose when its been warmed up. 10's are slow for a busa, I have a few friends with bolt ons and a 2lbs. nitrous bottle running 8's on the stock chassis, only one as an extended swing arm.

A 11 second dsm with a consistant driver might have a chance with a 600 and a poor rider, but most the track bikes out there now are 600's.

1988 Yamaha Riva 200Z, bought brand new from the dealership in '94 then I picked it up with 1500 miles on it or something like that.

I sold it to some Puerto Rican dude who was going to box it up and ship it to family in PR.

Re: Anybody on this site have a motorcycle?

It is next to impossible to beat a good driver on a bike. Even a never 600. Some of the older 600s are not as tough to beat but they are still no laughing matter. Sport bikes are fast. I don't care who you are, you cant ever line up next to a sport bike and be sure of winning.

I am not saying at all that bikes are slow..hell, the older 600's scare the shit outta me. Since they introduced EFI for them too, they have become a bit more responsive. I am just saying that some guys forget ya gotta know how to ride the bike, and a lot of bikers out there (like a guy I work with) will go to his grave thinking a car can never beat a bike..

Re: Anybody on this site have a motorcycle?

My 01 ZX6R is pretty quick. Scares the shit out of me. Not too fantastic yet on the cornering, but the new tires this year and suspension work will help that out a bit. I was always a little leery about laying it down too far with those crappy tires on it.

And mine is carbed. 4 Mikuni's, but carbed none the less. Has got me out of many situations quickly.
