Re: Winter mods?
Lots. A list of what I'm ordering within a few weeks (in random order on top of my head)
- spark wires and plugs
- snow tires
- thermostat
- front rotors and brakes
- rear calipers, rotors and pads
- new downpipe, high flow cat, exhaust system *maybe magnaflow*
- FP manifold (current manifold has a hair line crack)
- trans, transfer case, rear diff fluids
- wheel liner
- wheel bearing
for the spring:
- bigger injectors
- fmic
- either the e316g or 50 trim
- bigger fuel pump
- tune
- E85...maybe.

Re: Winter mods?
Guess I'm not in the whole Evo X turbo loop. But wouldn't one of MAP's existing EFx turbos already be similar to it?

Re: Winter mods?
ef2 is smaller and ef3 is a little bigger, so I guess something inbetween.

Ooh. That is one mod my car could actually use, a real catch can/breather setup, instead of that BS I have rigged up now so it would be "good enough" for Proving Grounds.

No catch can, just vent to atmosphere.
Hrm, can't remember if it was #1 or #4...

Re: Winter mods?
I haven't been around much lately, sounds like I've missed a little. The gf and I are buying a house, so that will be mod #1. Then after we get settled, I'm gonna talk to my uncle about buying his 280z. It has been sitting in a pole barn for probably 20 years, but it's in excellent condition.

Re: Winter mods?
Some of what I’m going to be doing in the next few months.
Take my shep trans out and send it to jacks to get it redone again..
Going to powder coat my brembos and re-install with new pads ss brake lines, and rotors that I already have sitting here.
adding a 9 turbo to it also.
Pick up some qtp's for some stock wheels on the dsm.

Upgraded clutch fork
New turbo (probably a BW billet 67mm s400sx)
Full blown dual pump hanger to get rid of the rusty modified stocker
Fix or replace my wideband
Fix my fuel pressure gauge inside the car
Put some carpet in it to clean up the interior a little
I'm sure there are other little odds and ends I'm forgetting right now too

I definitely did! I decided not to go with the upgraded clutch fork or the full blown dual pump hanger. I completely rewired my existing sending unit.
My engine and clutch disks are in.
A turbo will be ordered once I get my tax refumd
I have a lead on some carpet and headliner
Will be finishing it up and starting her up on Tuesday with the old turbo

So far, I have done more than what I originally thought haha and not done yet.
Got the trans sent out, waiting to hear from shep to see what all needs to be fixed on my stage 4 trans.
Bought a PTT twin disc so I don’t have to send my trans out every winter to get serviced due to my act dragging at high rpm's Also got the Isuzu slave and a coned TOB for good measure.
Got a larger ar housing for the 6262 to make a bit more power. Went from a .58 t4 to a .68 t4
Installed a full ss clutch line.
Shaved and Powder coated my transmission motor mount
Did some weight reduction. Removed rear seat belts/brackets and rear wiper and hatch sprayer.
Installed new oem heater core hoses and shifter linkage bushings.
I powder coated my brembos acandy red with and installed with new pads/rotors/ss lines/ate super blue. (evo)
Started to fab up a flaming river batter cut off through the key hatch hole.
Left to do.
Find some light wheels to use for slicks.
Order some fluids and put the car back together.
Re heat wrap my downpipe.
Install a new spindle with wheel bearing

Re: Winter mods?
I've bought some of mine, but its too damn cold to work on it right now haha.
I need to pull off my 1300cc injectors as I sold them last week. Time to man up and go 2000cc injectors I guess. Not looking forward to dialing them in on stock ECU but on e85 it should be doable.
