Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

any way got some of it done today with the help of my dad, kevin, and jon
got the rear arms off and apart and started to go back together. hit a road block with one of them the bearing broke pressing out the 4 lug hub, But it was craig for the save he was able to order one for me will be in tomorrow morring.

evo III rear arms. We cut up the oem brake brackets. We cut the ears off them. Also had to make the center hole bigger on the evo 9 ebrake and drill out the bolt holes in it a bit to line up with the evo III bolt's

here is the brackets that we made out of some 1/4in alum plate I had laying around also 1/4in spacers. still have to drill and tap the oem evo III brake bracket for then alum ones for the brembos.

Also got the front hubs put on the car and have some modding to do the front brackets and back of the brembo so they sit better.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

That turned out to be alot more work than I thought it was gonna be. I'm glad the left rear side came apart way easier than the right rear side. That one bottom bolt was a BITCH!

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

Sucks about the hub, at least it was an easier fix for the fronts. The wheels look good on the car, tho.

And, on a plus, no cars were hit or damaged today.

I'd like to say that I've been spray painting bomber cars since before some of you were born.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

the fronts are on the car now. had to mod the brackets alittle bit and make 1/4" spacers the 1/2" ones were to much and made them sit funny and hit the rotor's.

also put one of the rims on the car to get a good look at the full new set up. It looks bad ass

Looks good, I hope from a distance it doesnt look like those are rubber band tires, since you had to get such small tires. I think you should have gone with 17s max because 18s on such a small car may look odd.

I would have but I have 425.00 into the rims and tires so I could not pass it up. also craigs mini does not look bad with 18's and the same tires on it.
Also a 40 would rub on the inner fenders and throw off the speedo
