Re: Official winter sucks thread...
Alright, My back yard is pretty big and most of it is fenced in because we have dogs. Back behind the fence is a creek, some rocks, and a big old dead tree, then a pretty steep but not very big hill then it goes up to Cliff Road, which is fairly busy and the speed limit is 50.
Last night five drunk guys were driving around in the horrible weather and even though they weren't speeding, they some how managed to run themselves down the hill a little ways in our back yard. So four of the drunkards sit their asses in the car [one being the driver] and the other gets out to push. So The driver is desprately trying to rock the car and in the mean time, keeps almost running over the pusher. All of the sudden the pusher starts flipping out on the driver and they are yelling at each other and punching each other. This proceeds for about five minutes before they go back to rocking, pushing, and almost running over. Anyway, so some how they decide four of the drunkards should just leave. So they leave the driver to deal with the car. He decides to put jackets down infront of the tires and ends up sliding further down. Still he continues to try as cars stop and ask if he needs help [which he denies..?]. Finally a cop comes, and together, they proceed to stare at the car for a bit. Maybe they thought telepathy would help, I don't know, but whatever it was, it didn't help at all. Then another cop comes, and the telepathy continues. Still no luck, so they start walking around the car, looking at it. Still, the car doesn't move, and at this point I'm wondering if they will ever get the hell out of my yard. Finally someone [not one of the previous drunkards, thank God] shows up with a truck. To my dismay, they all come together at the top of the hill, and CONTINUE the telepathy for about ten minutes. I think they finally gave up on that because the man with the truck went over to the truck and pulled out a tow rope. After about another ten minutes he finally decided he could hook it up safely, so he did. The he got in his truck and started to pull, but his back end got sucked into the hill at little bit to. Finally he pulled himself out and the car began moving as well. He drove a ways down but all it was doing was dragging the poor little car across the back yards, still on the hill, but finally the car is dragged up onto the street. But still they stare at it for about twenty more minutes. Finally the guy in the truck leaves and then the two cops and the car guy stare for still about five more minutes then finally everyone gets the hell outta my yard.
This whole session lasted from about 2:30- just about 4 am. Wow.
