What pump are you running? I've actually had good luck with my Fuelab, I think its the 1500HP version.

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects

You should thermal disperse coat the radiator, intake manifold, and FMIC like a boss.

And ceramic coat (like I already mentioned) the header, exhaust housing on the turbo, and downpipe... squeeze every damn HP out of it!

Nope no finish treatment on this car, all natural! For the exception of the exhaust wrap on the downpipe to protect the WG, that’s it. No fluff here!

Hopefully mondale on here can come and run with you 5 spd dudes, almost every platform is going to autos for racing now, word is there should be a pretty quick suby in the mix this year too.

I hope you guys can find the recipe for reliability, 5 spd cars rock.

More cars the better! It sucks when there are 2-3 cars in a class.

I'll end up upgrading when it breaks again this summer...Thanks for the heads up, is it out of the RX7? Unfortunitly moneys a little tight these days, well I've spent too much on the winter project. I didn't realize the Evo would turn out to be a full on project.

Just by simple drag racing math with a 1.5 60' the car will be close to a 8, we will see. The evo looks good.

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects

Thanks!

So are you going to go with some 5 lug hubs and a set of slicks this year? I could see it running high 8's and to recapture the galant record.

Re: Mark's Evo IX MR Winter Projects

My car will use the BFG comp t/a for the street and have a set of QTP's for track use, if rims are in the budget 5 lugs will be on the car. And I recommend the aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump, in my car its able to produce over 100psi of fuel pressure at battery voltage. And no voltage regulator needed if you are not going on road trips.
