I'm honestly thinking a new set of spark plugs, an oil change, and a car cover are in this car's future. Now that I have an IX as well this car can be for cruises and cookouts. Just need to figure out the wheel/tire situation as I'm planning on stealing the Summer X-wheels I have for this car and putting them on the IX. If I'm happy with that setup I'll probably find another set but not sure what to do yet. My bank account = LOL right now

Summer wheels & tires bolted up and torqued.
Oil change: AMSoil 10w40 high zinc
Spark Plugs: NKG ILKR8E6 gapped @ .018"
Runs like a champ!

Actually, I just got approval from the boss (gf) to put mine back together on the cheap. No sweet t4 kit this year but I am going STS now I think 420whp on a stock turbo is in my future with e85, boost and high compression
So I will get to drive it this year! Ordering parts Tuesday. |

Spending 1000's on a silly car when we are discussing marriage etc, seems like common courtesy to me. I probably didn't phrase it right, she isn't my boss, but like any significant other, spending a lot without asking will lead to nonsense later. It was a 3 second conversation and I just said I was going to put my car back together on the cheap. I promised her a ring this summer so I don't want her to think I am spending that money on my car...that is all I was trying to say. |
