I picked up a palm VIIx with all the cables and everything to log. there was no logging software on the palm so I got mmcd on it. go to hook it up and test it out and plug it in start up the car do everything your supposed to and nothing. the cable is one of the ones with the three wires that connect to the pins in the diagnostic port. I know i had it connected to the right three (at least it should have been) and I tried every possible combination of the three wires on the three pins. I have been searching for hours trying to figure this out. all the cables i have seen plug into the cradle/serial plug then the palm goes onto the cradle but my cable plugs right into the palm. and after hours of messing with it my palm froze up with some fatal error message and has a button to reset it but when you push it with the pen thing it does nothing. and now I am lost, confused, irritated and have one hell of a headache from trying to figure this out. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
