I *heart* snow
NOT...
When there is too much not to go anywhere, it isn't fun. The Galant was actually out for the first time last night and today. It wasn't even supposed to be out today but it was the only car that could make it out of the drive way.
You can see the WG actuator and the o2 sensor wire here.
notice the truck here?
now here? Yeah...it got stuck....FUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuu
Anyways, how is your snow day going?

Re: I *heart* snow
I was up at 8 or so, started clearing the driveway around 9:30, went to Caribou for some coffee at 10:30. The pile of snow at the end of the driveway easily doubled, it's now at my shoulder and was below my waist before today. The roommate's girlfriend just left for work and it looked like I hadn't even touched the driveway because of the drifting. Oh well, do it all again tomorrow.

I'm going to shovel in a bit, seems like I'm the only person on my block that doesn't have a snowblower.

Re: I *heart* snow
My brother used his ATV to clear the driveway earlier this morning, and it now looks like he never touched it. I'll spend my day playing games on ps3 and watching movies I think.

Re: I *heart* snow
We went to cub and walmart, went to visit my cousin and there street wasn't plowed almost came to a stop but made it.
Came home and took 10 mins to get up my driveway. We left the civic outside and there is a 1FT radius around of it with no snow and there is no snow buildup on it.
I want to see the fight later and I have nothing to do all day because the only video game I have is GH world tour

Re: I *heart* snow
This is the best idea I had in a long time (f the scarf and hat).
I was enjoying it this morning, but then the damn snow blower broke. Lost a part that connect the trigger up top to turn the auger on somewhere in the snow....
So now I'm trying to find a plow service to clear the driveway at some point tomorrow afternoon. Anyone know if Enes does this type of stuff anymore and is still around with a working number?

About to make the trek across town in a bit. Roads look to be decent from the bedroom window at least

Re: I *heart* snow
Roads are okay, I actually had more traction in the work truck this morning than the last delivery before I left.
I miss my car already.

Re: I *heart* snow
Definitely came close to getting stuck twice in DT St Paul. One foot drifts and 5" ground clearance is okay if you never stop but those pesky stop lights. Grr.
I need beer. Fuck the no-Sunday sales shit in this state.

Re: I *heart* snow
Around here TRUCKS are getting stuck, there's noway I would trust my Evo with snow tires in this right now, but I made the trek fine this morning around 8AM in the Suby. The intersections this morning were so bad cars were stuck from plows creating huge piles in the middle of the road, the key was to hit it with ramming speed. Then I got to my GF's and had to shovel a fucking spot because there was like 14" of drift snow everywhere.
Also via startribune there's FIVE plows on the road until 2AM in the metro area... FIVE. Buses are pulled off the road, there was a lady stranded at radio shack when I was there getting something because her bus just stopped.
It's fucking insane, there's snow which is fun and then there's this... this is just bullshit.

Man you guys are getting dumped on. We were supposed to get some snow, but barely got shit. Not that i am complaining. The tech service for our install bay is based out of MN and they closed early due the conditions.

Re: I *heart* snow
I dug my car and driveway out this morning, drove to work, had fun passing people today in the big ass truck I was driving, worked outside for 7 hours straight and drove back, dug my car out again and drove home and I never got stuck once. People are idiots. It's all about momentum and knowing where the road is, even if it's under three feet of snow.

Re: I *heart* snow
I left about 1:20pm to hang out with a couple people in Burnsville, got there just over an hour later. Took just under an hour to get home. Roads are fine if you aren't an idiot and have a capable car. Lots of people stuck on exit/entrance ramps that weren't plowed, even trucks. Plenty of people that were stuck on 35E that appeared to have inexplicably driven off the road into the deep snow.
The only time I almost got stuck was on a street with snow well above the bottom of my car. I had to get out, clear the snow I was pushing in front of my car then I could get momentum to keep going.

Re: I *heart* snow
Drove to Princeton today, played/drove around for a good hour or two and never even got close to getting stuck. Most roads in Princeton weren't plowed at all as of about 5:00, and I would say there was right around a foot of snow. Watched a couple clowns struggle for a good half hour to get a 90's jetta about a block down the road just to say screw it and go back home lol.
Vikings game was officially moved to Monday night because of the snow, the giants plane couldn't land and they are staying the night in Kansas city. I haven't seen this much snow since I was a kid, this is crazy.
