Hey guys,
I have been having some weird troubles with my car. Lower rpms when I just drive it it feels like the timing is pulled and then all the sudden goes back up at about 2500 rpms. just today comming back from school I had to give it some gas and I always have my car set at 8-10 psi just for normal driving and when I hit boost it felt like the car was all the sudden using the brakes on its own. It wasnt fuel cut because it was still running fine and no pop or anything of that nature. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what could be causing this. my mods if needed are in my profile.

Thanks,
Jacek

PS. my o2 shows in the lower .9 range. i messed with my timing and when adjusting it when the point near the batter was grounded it was set at 0 so when i ungrounded it my timing showed 5 on the light. if this is incorrect and needs to be at 5 i need to know

I have knotced that when i let of the gas completely and then press it again that my o2 sensor stays at .020 for about a second or so. I am guess that this is my problem unless this is normal?

Baseline timing is 5 degrees w/o ecu control, not with it. +/- 3 degrees I believe.
Thats part of your problem.
Most 1g's on dataloggers yeild 02 voltage of .88-.94 when tuned properly, but just tuning by that is asking for a hole in a piston.
Set the baseline first, then go from there.
As for the varying o2 readings, the factory 02's 'cycle' when not under load (to find that perfect a/f ratio) as well as drop dead after deceleration (all fuel is cut via ecu on decel mode), so that o2 voltage drop is normal, the reason it takes a few seconds to re-register is logger lag .

i have used the logger to tune my car, i dont have a problem with tuning it. it is just that odd feeling down low.

now about the base timing deal. what do you mean without ecu control. with the ground in place? i assume so.

thanks,
Jacek
