Re: lets see everyones valve cover..
Repainted valve cover in stock color. Bland, but it gets the job done.
The valve cover from my old Talon before I sold it. I kept it, but then I over torqued when putting it on the VR-4, and cracked it.

Re: lets see everyones valve cover..
Here's mine. Nothing too special. I shaved it and painted it gloss red. I also painted my new COP plate wrinkle black.

I was gonna do something similar to the middle and right one. I have a bare one, but no use for it yet. Planned on painting the center black, shaving everything except the dohc 16 valve (painting that black) and the rest white. Still might happen.

Re: lets see everyones valve cover..
I will end up painting it black but I did try to match it to the car. Shaved it myself:

I used a dremel with a routing or something tip and a sander tip. I've heard of people using some sort of shaving block or something. It's pretty soft material.

I used an orbital sander attachment for an electric drill, and did the finishing sanding by hand. 80-120-200-400-600(wet). Prolly overkill but turned out nice.
Swifty, what does, 'as if its not enough' mean?

Hmm, maybe I'll use an air attatchment to get the majority off (I'm impacient haha) then do your sanding process. Thanks for the input, i wanna do it right.

Belt Sander FTW. Easier to get flat with no ripples, and its quick.

Believe it or not, I don't think people sit around all day looking at pics of your car, but you must? In fact I can't remember the last time I saw a pic of it posted. Slacker!

That's what I'm saying man, use the attachment w/ various grits and you'll be done in no time, then just do a bit of sanding by hand to finish it off. I seriously spent no more than 15 minutes sanding...stripping it and cleaning it took way longer than the actual sanding process!

Re: lets see everyones valve cover..
I do not look at my own car, I don't need to. I know what it looks like. I was just saying that I don't think there are many on here whom haven't seen it.
