Heh tell that to trevor
Make sure you orient the clamp that holds the hotside to the center section so that the nut is accessable from the top, closest to the block (point the bolt straight up and down). There's a little gap in the runners of the manifold that make it so its perfectly accessable, in case you ever need to separate the turbine housing from the center section on the car. Not sure how it's oriented stock, I forgot to look.

I think I did at one point, lol, but he was going to go bbk before
I honestly never checked the orientation. MAP took it apart for the coating and put it back and DB will be putting it on when the motor goes in, so whatever they do I might be stuck with, lol.
I suppose I could tell them when they are installing it so it is easy if I ever need to do that.
Thanks for the heads up Scheides.
Side note: I spoke with Full-Race, he might cut me a deal on their tubular mani if I show some back to back results vs the ported stocker. I was going to do this over the winter so we will see what happens.

You'll notice like 90%+ of posts are in this thread though, lol.
It is more or less my build blog
I still check out the site enough, just don't post much other places because I don't feel like I am skilled enough to, i need to get my hands dirtier and learn my before i do that.
This site has quite a few people that are damn near mechanics.

^It's called DSMs
Driver Slash Mechanic. lol
It seems to common that people are running out of fuel on their setups.
Don't worry make a helpful post esp. if its something simple that no-one has suggested or just say that was what you would do have 2 people think something is a good idea might try sway someone more towards it.
So a little bit closer now?

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
While at DB Spaz noticed my stock 4b11 pistons said 0331 on them and commented on Jake, but was like oh not quite
Some completed head pics, nothing too fancy...Danny scared me about the shims falling out so I didn't want to mess with it too much. Thanks Spaz for holding the head while i snapped a pic!
Danny said his guy didn't get too crazy on the head because he didn't see much restriction. He said he got the bowls inside pretty ported out though. The 4b11 head flows very well already, i am sure this helps though
The oversized valves all in
So it sounds like every piece for the build is there now. Danny said its just a matter of putting the head on the block and putting the bitch back in. So hopefully they don't have too many emergencies of people that need stuff asap so they can focus, lol.
Also, I think i am going with the cocktail mix when they put the tranny back in...the amsoil felt really thick until it heated up and didn't seem to help the notchiness enough.

Standard ARP's.
That is all they have besides the cosworths and I am not shelling out that much for headstuds.
I spoke with Danny on this and he thought I'd be fine anyway. The Evo heads aren't prone to lifting like the dsm heads. Also all the big builds use ARP ones anyway.
Not to mention ETS used ARP's on their 800whp build at like 40psi, i think i'll be ok

Touche
I guess we will see, I think i'll be alright.
I do plan to run as much boost as humanly possible on the black though 40 sounds very fun.
Shane said we will have to wait and see how knock is going and if the ignition system can keep up. Might have to go to E98...but that would be on my alt map for like the track or something.

Great choice on the Redline cocktailX (2xMTL 1xMT90). I put mine in at 1,200 miles and still felt I waited too long

The AMSoil was better than stock, but it just seemed way too thick I think.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
The Amsoil is a 75W-90, Evo X spec is 75W-80 (for comparison, 8/9's call for 75W-85).
