Re: So I finally get it running...
It was literally the first time I was attempting to get into any sort of boost in 4th. Let go as soon as I hit the gas. I will have to make a thread to put graphs in. But to be fair, it was totally worth it haha. The car commands more respect now though, it will turn your ass around on the highway if your not ready for it.

Yup. I think that I am going to switch over to the dark side. I am not going to shell out the cash for a dogbox when people are still managing to break them.

Re: So I finally get it running...
This will do 9s after you do auto if it is set up right. Glad to see this car went to a good owner. Hope to see this thing on the track next summer.

Re: So I finally get it running...
Take it to PM's. I would replace 4th gear, but all the jb in the world isn't going close off its exit strategy out the transmission, into the ditch lol. I had a Tron like light trail of redline that followed my car for a couple hundred yards. I am aware that making the switch between transmissions isn't a 6 hour afternoon job, but I am confident that I can get it done. Right now it is kind of a crash course in all the misc. info that goes along with the swap and setup. I am not in a rush to get this back up and going, and am contemplating switching to a more sturdy rear end as well. While the car is down though, hopefully the other two cars that do leave at 5:30 AM with loud exhaust take some of the attention off my garage.

Re: So I finally get it running...
You should be ok with a stock auto rear end or you can fab a 3000GT back there or a ford 8.8 like i told you.
I also know a guy with a complete drivetrain for a 1G auto. lol

Lol I wonder who that is? I am not sure about it yet, just throwing it up as a possibility.

Re: So I finally get it running...
You are going all out with the car. You got the car this far so going auto wont be a huge pain. On a plus side you got the car tuned and know where your power is at. Makes it easier getting the stall set where you want it.

Re: So I finally get it running...
Wow, ban me then. Just because I make a stupid comment that I am absolutely not serious about you wan't to ban me forever? I was joking about starting trouble at the guys place and obviously it didn't go over well. And yes, I say why spend a ton more money on a new tranny when you can possibly salvage the old one if your gears didn't get to ripped up? Oh wait i'm a retard that everyone is asshamed to live by, thanks. Let me know how easy the auto swap was after you rip you entire car apart just to swap you wiring harness and tell me it shouldn't be to hard. Am I going to get pay banned and ripped a new ass hole for this post too? I may be an idiot sometimes but atleast I'm not a big headed ass that apparently knows everything?

Auto swap isn't really that bad, and it is apparent his current setup isn't holding.
It is practically a race car and these cars go together like lego's. A little bit of time and effort and its easy, but what would I know, I've probably worked on just shy of a few hundred of these cars....
Finally, you got banned because of your ATTITUDE and LACK OF RESPECT of others on this forum. If you would put your "OMG I AM SO SWEET BECAUSE I LIVE IN THE PL AND VACATION IN CO" attitude in check you would realize the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

I wouldn't listen to a word this "niterydr" guy says. He is such a poser. I bet he doesn't even have a car. He's just some e-thug that thinks he knows EVERYTHING!! He says he's worked on cars, but I bet he doesn't even know how to open the fuel door on a car. I say he should go hop back in his Geo Metro and leave the real MAN stuff to the experts!! What a punk!!

To be clear, you did NOT get BANNED! You got PAYBANNED You could have unbanned yourself at any point and returned fire to the person that banned you. This is one of those things that makes this forum extra fun

Re: So I finally get it running...
I don't think that the swap should be too bad. It will just take a little time to get everything that I need and to do it right the first time.
p.s.
