Will do, I should have the fuel fittings this week, but the car is in storage and it is damn cold here. Not to mention my birthday is this weekend so I doubt much will get done lol

You should thermal disperse coat the FMIC like you mentioned... Would be a damn good sleeper.

Aren't the thermal disperse coatings ceramic based (like what MAP does on their intake manifolds)? That wouldn't be good for an intercooler. Everything I've read so far points to anodizing if you wanted a black sleeper look. ETS charges $100 to anodize an FMIC, not a bad price.
Nice build btw, and welcome to the forum.

Hard to be a sleeper with a 1G. The only 1Gs still out there are modded to hell, nobody is going to expect a clean 1G on the road to not have power.

There is definitely at least one 1g DSM on the streets today that is clean and not modded to hell

Maybe not us car guys. But to the average plebeian, if it lacks the anticipated exterior embellishments that traditionally signify 'fast', it will probably be mistaken for a Saturn. In 2012, I am ok with this.

Who would race a Saturn on purpose?

Oh, they will expect it to have power, no doubt. However, how much power is another story.
It isn't like you see a 1g with this set-up running around on a daily basis or anything.
And, there are still plenty of clean 1gs scooting about that aren't laying down huge power...

Re: The car simply known as "The Talon"
Hey thanks for the birthday wishes. I contacted swain tech today but I am not sure if a 2-5% reduction in IAT is worth almost $300 lol

When you're all-ready balls deep, another cm is inconsequential

Re: The car simply known as "The Talon"
Actually no, heat dispersion coatings are designed to "pull" heat from what they are applied to where as ceramic coatings are insulators, holding heat in.

Re: The car simply known as "The Talon"
But will they expect a 42r powered 1g...I doubt it. I thought about getting a license plate that says
Evo316G or 20GPWR

Re: The car simply known as "The Talon"
Shane is totally right on the clean 1G thing not being a sleeper thing. But yeah welcome to the forums and it be cool to see what it puts down. Reminds me alot of Leasures 1g w/ the dual tial BOVs/42R ect...
OP did you see his build thread on his 1G? I know you said something about his EVO.
