The words you use are the reason the ATF wrote a new opinion letter - Saying the intent of using your Sig brace would be to create an SBR - That word play there is what gets you a felony. I, however, bought a Sig brace to enhance my Ar-15 pistol when shooting with 1 hand. Some things are best left unsaid, if you get my drift.
I am aware of the most recent opinion letter sent from the ATF. I will likely go the NFA route with the scorpion and file the Form 1 to SBR it. I'd like to get an NFA trust setup prior so I can bypass some bologna. In the mean time, an "arm brace" "velcroed onto my arm" will suffice
