Have a shell you can buy. Buy the '92 for the body (zero rust), get the '94 for the rest of the parts. Needs engine, clutch, carpet and a little paint (needs driver fender that I have as well).

Good luck then. Hope you're prepared to pay/have a wallet book to match your taste.

I'm willing to pay premium for the right 1g, and I'm patient and in no rush to find it.

Still looking.
I may end up looking for a clean evo if I can't find a nice 1g in the next year.
I'm not sure what it is about 1gs, but I'd take a clean one over just about anything.

No sir, he may have a similar username as me.
I have seen his thread though, so I do know what eclipse you're talking about and that's exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't think it matters where the car is, just that it was taken care of. The good ones have never been driven in winter up here.

Re: WTB - Clean AWD 1g, preferably a Talon
One of the nicer ones get listed on CL every summer. For about $10k. I told the guy its really a $5k car, but he scoffed. Money may talk, though. (Black 1GB Talon, 10k miles, Chanhassen,MN). I still have his phone number.
I know of an OLD guy who bought a 91 1GA NEW, didn't want to mod the stock engine so pulled it and bought a 2nd engine - Hes probably near death haha maybe he'd sell his garage queen. He's in Circle Pines, MN. Lives on my friend's street.

Ha, I thought I wanted an Evo more, so I bought one with the idea of replacing the 1G, and ended up selling it and keeping the GSX. I know what you mean about clean ones being tough to find these days though.

That car would be worth $10k all day long if he put it back completely to stock. Why it has those ugly rims I'll never know.

Evo X or bust. After owning 5 DSM's, an Evo IX, and an Evo X, the only one I'd really suggest someone buy in this day & age is the X. That car at least has a decent amount of creature comforts and features to make it a viable/livable DD.

Bah, who wants a DD? I wouldn't want to put mine through that abuse, especially in winter. I guess I DD it in the summer months when it's nice, of course I added a lot of creature comforts to it and copied a lot from my Evo build.
