Tire Help
Right now i have a set of falken torque 5 chrome rims - they are extremely heavy and are 18 inches to boot, plus they have cheap kumho tires wrapping the rim. My other set is the stock chrome 16" mitsu tires wrapped in yokohama's. Right now i have on the torque 5's cuz they look real nice and i got them for cheap. I talked to Kracka a little about this but i was wondering - should i put back on the stock tires and just buy high performance tires>> and if i should do that what tires. keep in mind not to expensive.

Re: Tire Help
Like I told you, Fuzion ZRi's are really good tires for under $100/each. Potenza 750's are a good step up from those, then comes the big-spender S-02's and S-03's.

Re: Tire Help
Yoko ES100s work are real sticky too, and I have Falken Azenis ST-115s, they are one of the quietest performance tires out there, and they dont break the bank!

The ES100's can't hold a candle to the Fuzion ZRi tires.
The Fuzions, RE750's, and S-02/3's are all made by Bridgestone.

Re: Tire Help
The S-02's are still in production. For some odd reason there have been rumors flying aroud saying they aren't or that they are being canceled, but rest assured neither are true.

Re: Tire Help
I'll just post my quick question in here, rather then starting a whole new thread. What would the ideal size tire be for say a 16x7 rim? 225/50?

Re: Tire Help
A 225/50-16 tire would fit fine and would be the size I'd choose. A 205/55-16 would also fit but be a bit stretched. A 235/45-16 would have some sidewall buldge. When comparing tires, also be sure to look at actual contact patch width.

Re: Tire Help
me612 - 225mm divided by 25.4 = 8.8 inches wide.
Kracka - Why would a 225mm wide tire fit fine and a 205mm wide tire be stretched?

Because its skinnier and you'll get the reverse of tire buldge (I have always referred to it as a stretched sidewall).
