I will be out for highway rolls for sure! No 6466, I am not ready for it fuel wise, it would be a waste. I think the 6266 is more than enough, people have made 800whp with them before.

I was doing that on purpose I guess. Others have told me that a t4 divided flange is roughly equivalent to a t3 single scroll for flowage. And an .84 t3 single scroll is good for 700's.

I just want something that spools in the same neighborhood as what I have now was kind of the idea.

I can always swap hotsides for relatively cheap. Which was my back up plan.

Might want to double-check what other guys are running that you've been following to be sure. Go with what's proven!

ps--you're dumb for doing this!

They all are moving to the 6466 lol. I want to run something smaller/responsive for starters then I will move up after.

I dunno though, maybe I will go with the 1.0AR, I have been getting several people saying to do that now...

Yes, I know very well, I am dumb. You can take it for a spin when its done though if you want

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

This is going to be a wicked setup!

Since you're going twin scroll I would start with the 1.0a/r. I kept wanting to go with a smaller a/r on my 6766 but people like Leasure and places like Boostin performance kept saying go with the bigger a/r. I figure they know more than I do so I just listened to them lol.

Welp, as long as you don't change your license plate to say SWAG, I'm down with whatever blasted A/R you get.

There is a big difference between the A/R rating of a divided and undivided turbine housing and then anytime you switch housing families, like from T3 to T4 the ratings are much different.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

I ran a 1.32 divided housing on a 6765 few years ago it made 30psi by 6500rpm.

If you looking to get the most power of a 67mm there is better options than the PTE 6766.

He's going to be running a 62mm. But you said this in my build thread and failed to produce any examples when I asked. Sure there are some that out flow 6766 but most 67mm turbos out there cost more.

The a/r is very subjective. Halon let me borrow his bw to test fit it on my talon. His exhaust housing is a .91 and when comparing it to the .98 housing off of my gt4294. Even though the a/rs are pretty close Halon's seemed quite a bit smaller.

I went with a 1.32a/r on my 6766 and it also looks smaller than the .98 of the gt42. Even though the a/r is quite a bit larger on the 6766 I can't imagine it will spool any slower that my gt42. I guess we'll find out soon.

Well since you failed to ask in your thread but now you did in this thread here you go!!!!

EXAMPLE#1 http://store.forcedperformance.net/m..._Code=Turbo-FP

EXAMPLE #2 http://www.full-race.com/store/borgw...sx3-turbo.html

EXAMPLE #3 http://www.precisionturbo.net/turboc...d-OGS-SFWD/500

Also BW has an 11 blade 67mm rated at 1000 or 1050 just can't find it......

Thanks!

For what its worth....
PTE 6765 with 1.32 housing at 34psi made 719whp @DB
BW 67mm with 1.10 at 35psi falling to 32psi made 785whp @DB
Same set up different turbos.

Sounds good!

Thats some good info! I'd like to see 700@db if I can. We'll see how the 6766 does. If I don't like it I'll run it this summer and go a different route next winter

Sounds good!
Actually I did ask in my thread. I was looking at that bw and fp. Those are gt42 framed sized turbos. I went with the 6766 based on boostin performance's recommendation to not go with a turbo that large for my goals for my car. They recommended the fp hta3794 or the 6766 (yes the 3794 also out performs the 6766). The 3794 is $2500. that bw and fp hta4294 are $1500 and that other pte one you posted is almost $4k. I went with the 6766 because it was $1050 new.
