Re: Cutting out/studdering at 3k-4k

Well I know my grounds are good solid metal cause I stripped the paint off where the grounds go. I do have a stock 5 speed ecu and 550cc injectors installed on this talon sitting in my driveway. I'm really thinking it's the harness though. It is the ONLY thing left that has been changed that I have swapped out. The car ran perfect before I did anything to the wiring harness.

Re: Cutting out/studdering at 3k-4k

Swapped out the CAS which was the last sensor to be tested and it didnt change it. Definatly getting a new harness now. With the new one I'll only take out a couple sensors instead of going balls to the wall with it.

Re: Cutting out/studdering at 3k-4k

Sooo I just figured out my problem.. Basically I'm a big laggy turbo/ huge injector n00b. I ended up taking out 40% of fuel from 2k to 4k (turbo doesnt spool til 4200 or so) and now my car rev's through perfectly smooth. I guess I was completely flooding the damn thing. I don't have my wideband hooked up yet since I put the new harness in but I'll either do that tonight or tomorrow and then time to start tuning!

I feel like such an idiot..

Hey, at least you got it figured out! Good to hear!

Do you plan on bringing it to Shane anytime?

Re: Cutting out/studdering at 3k-4k

Whenever I save up enough cash. The only problem I got now is the car will not idle once warmed up. This problem happened at the same time the cutting out started. That's why I thought something was really messed up. I had the car running/ idling perfect before so I'm not sure whats up with it. DAMN 1600's..

Good to know you figured it out. What didn't fit with the harness?

Re: Cutting out/studdering at 3k-4k

I didn't say something didnt fit?? I'm gonna pull the harness back out though cause I need to make the wires the length I need them. I just threw it in the car quick to see if it fixed it. I would throw my old harness back in but I had to use alot of it to fix the new harness, since the new harness I got was in pretty bad shape. I'm not complaining though.

So gotta take the harness back out and fix/re-wire some of it. Then finally tune!
