I probably wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't in the middle of a tech thread. Yes, I do like to go play with the Laser on the streets once in a while, but I will never "street race" with it.

Re: 2g intake maifold - swapping soon to 1g

what is the difference between playing on the street once in a while and doing a pull with someone else once in a while?

Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.

I'm done hijacking this thread. If you want to continue this discussion let's take it somewhere else.

Re: 2g intake maifold - swapping soon to 1g

This is definately not a debate on street racing. Keep on topic. The differential pressure sensor on the 2g intake is just for checking EGR function. If you don't do one of the typical workarounds for it, you will pull a CEL, Unless of course you have DSMlink or another program that disables it.

The Coils are easy, use the 2G coils in the 1G mounting plate, then they look like a stock 1G setup and it works fine. We do it often. The 7 bolt 1G flows exactly the same as the 6Bolt 1G head. The coolant passages are improved and the bolt holes are smaller otherwise the ports are the same. I have them sectioned with a bandsaw if you want to see sometime. The 2G head is a lot different, but I am not going into that at the moment since it isn't really part of this thread. Suffice it to say that any of them can be improved on. If you are set on porting the head, the exhaust side is where the work needs to be done.

Well whatever the thing is that's located directly on top of a 2g manifold. It's a sensor.
