Re: my slow project...

Gauges are installed time for a tune. Did a quick pull after I installed my afr gauge and at wot it is 10.0 and is pig rich. Going to do a boost leak test.

Also found out i am boost spiking. it will spike to 18-20 psi on the stock turbo when i am under a heavy load. and even when it spikes the afr never goes above 12.0

Re: my slow project...

A small turbo like a t25 is going to spike then taper, it's kind of the name of the game. What kind of boost controller do you have and what is it set at?

Re: my slow project...

well I am happy with the results. my first pull was 145hp...

turned up the boost and end result was 175hp and 215TQ on DB's dyno, and in shoot out mode 211hp and 255TQ. nice little increase also set up launch control.

I would like to say thanks to Shane and DB performance. I will be back after turbo and maybe some e85.

Looks like a nice power curve to me. now you got a base line down. What are the next mods you plan on doing?

Re: my slow project...

its insane how bad t25 turbos are.

Next will be a 16g fuel pump and injectors.

Re: my slow project...

Well i am back at looking for more parts just need to decide on what is next.

1 cornering... Polly bushings, strut tower brace, lowering springs and an alignment.

Or...

2 more power. Turbo thinking ether a hx35 or just a 16g. Walbro 255hp, fpr, 850cc injectors, and some e85.

Re: my slow project...

HX35 might be a bit more work than a 16G but a lot more potential.

let me know I a HX35 sitting here that I can get rid of.

Re: my slow project...

As in more work what all do you mean. The hx35 is a t3 flange right? So i would guess it would be a new exhaust manni and a different intercooler setup.

If i go new turbo now i am only going to look for around 300 wheel and call it good. I have been told that is very conservitive. People saying i can hit 380 to 400 wheel on stock motor it just sounds like a lot.

This boost bug really sucks.... Lol

Re: my slow project...

You can get a bolt on HX35, it just needs the BEP turbine housing. But you will need different feed and drain lines, and a new intake as well, where a E316G would bolt right up, no real changes needed besides a tune.

Re: my slow project...

If you are looking for 300 whp I guess e85 and a16g would be a blast.

I am guessing that is the way I am going to go. make it easy on myself. some 850cc injectors should be enough for e85 right?

my over all goal for the car is to beat up on stock c6 vettes and to maybe take it to a road track every now and then.

Re: my slow project...

95tsi on here runs 880's with his E316G and a 2.3L No idea what his IDC's are, but I'd guess they have to be maxed or dang close. Most will probably just tell you to get 1000's or like FIC 1050's.
