Re: pocket logger

The software is very nice. I tried the other free ones and always went back.

Re: pocket logger

What do you mean? That the software is too expensive? 125-40= 85.

2 years ago that kit cost 175 and thats what I paid, I would still pay that much for the software because its worth it.

Re: pocket logger

I suppose, I mean there is a reason that DSMLink is 565, the chip is only pennies, and the cable can't be more than 30, so the markup is for the development of the software.

It must be good, since they are still coming up with updates and still selling it. The pocketlogger that is.

Re: pocket logger

so.. my questio is still where do i get the software? I mean I could choke up the $125 for the whole deal, butI would rather not do that if I have the cable already

Re: pocket logger

That software is not available unless purchased through them. I am not sure what ways they use to protect themselves against piracy, but I wouldn't try.

Re: pocket logger

You have to buy it if you want it... unless you find someone and upload it off them... but that would be illegal

Re: pocket logger

I may quite possibly be aquiring a 1990 tsi awd 5spd, all stock. Right now i'm trying to get my hands on an m130 ready to plug and play. I have virtually no knowledge on tuning, and want to learn. Apparently a data logger + afc is a good place to start. any pointers? is it a waste of my time? should i just have lse tune the car in the summer?
