Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
I've talked to him on AIM a few times and from what I gathered was a pretty cool guy, only wish I had the chance to meet him in person.
Sucks he had to leave so much! Rest in peace man...

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
I was lucky to hang out with him a few day ago, Kyle and myself went on a 130 mile bike ride that day and He took us to one of his favorite roads, out in prescott.
Definetely a great guy, great Rider, He'll be missed for sure.

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
This also is from MNSBR
I am having a get together to remember Shrep. I will post details in the Events forum.
I think Shrep would have wanted us to not dwell on the sadness but remember him as he was. Let's get together and enjoy his memory and enjoy time with friends. Shrep and I were close but you know how it is with everyday life keeping us too busy to enjoy each other's friendships. I would like to have everyone get together and have a good night with friends in his honor.

That really sucks, He was a really good guy, and was always super nice to me from the day I met him at one of the applebees meets. He will really be missed.

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
My god... That bike doesnt look like anyone could have gotten killed on it.
Does anyone know what exactly happened?
Freak accident maybe?

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
How the bike looks doesn't matter really, you can die going 20mph if the circumstance are right. I have been down going 15mph before and got all fucked up while wearing leathers and a helmet while my buddy hit a deer going 60mph wearing a t-shirt and just got a few scratches.
Its hard to tell anything from those pictures, but if one had to guess I would say the corner was missed and he left the bike and hit the sign or a tree. Either way what a shame, that makes three people I know this year that have gotten killed on motorcycles. Maybe I should sell mine.

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
For what it's worth, a friend of mine laid his bike down in Owatonna on Sunday because an old lady pulled out in front of him. Another friend close to this one also just bought a brand new Yamaha R1... I'm definitely not looking forward to the rest of the summer.

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
I'm pretty sure Kyle said the Funeral is Thursday. haven't got the time or place yet but the date is I think for sure.
Those who have bikes are asked to ride them... we'll be doing a Bike memorial thing.

Re: Justin Shrep passed away.
For those who didn't see it yet I came across this on his myspace page and though it was very fitting to add here:
--
Justin's Gifts
Hello again everyone.
I hope you all have been able to find strength in yourselves and in each other these past few days.
As many of you know, Justin was an organ donor. I found out today that, because he was a donor, he was able to save 4 lives and touch about 80 more. It is so comforting to me to know how many people have been helped and given hope because of our kind and generous Justin. I urge you all to consider becoming organ donors yourselves. As we can all see, the impact is enormous.
Love,
Sara
--
I'm sure he has a smile on his face knowing he's continued to help out.
There is also a Reception note.
There will be a reception at Jitters, where Justin worked, on Friday, June 16, at 6pm - 9pm. Anyone who knew him is welcome to attend.
205 East Hennepin Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55414
See you all tomorrow.
Sara
